The Omaha Headache Clinic has seen some of the worst of the worst headache cases. Today, was an exceptional day. We had a headache patient, with migraine her "whole life" tell me she hasn't had a headache for over 8 months! Can you imagine, EIGHT (8) MONTHS!!!You cannot imagine my excitement for her. She hasn't had to take any medications- She was on 1 narcotic, a sleep aid, and an anti depressant. Not only was I excited she didn't have a headache, but her liver and kidneys were getting a much needed break.
Now, this isn't to say she will never get a headache again. She probably will. But with our rehabilitation program she will have them farther and fewer in between. And they will not be as intense (hopefully) if she keeps up her home requirements.
This is a great story I just had to share because is made me very very happy.
